VUE DE MONDE

The salmon poached in beetroot juice was good.

The desserts look so delicious that you just want to eat them all!

The caneles, looks good , but I'm not a great fan!
The mousse was light, there was three different flavours, not too sweet, cute, presented in egg cartoons.

Vue De Monde, to dine here is an experience , an expensive experience! That night we had very good service, the food was delicious, well presented, fine dinning!

The waiters were friendly, explaining the dishes that were served.

There was one dish that didn't quite make the mark, it was a lamb with satay sauce! The sauce was not a satay sauce!? it was more like a peanut sauce, no hint of any lemon grass or chilies! It just didn't go with the lamb served!

One of our guests was not so lucky, things that went wrong happened to her!

She found crab shells in her crab meal, bone splinters in her minced lamb and her straw had a jagged edge!

The waiter pouring her wine , left drips on the table cloth each time he served her, in the end he had to cover the spots with a napkin!

By the end of the evening, we were so full, we could only look and admire the desserts.

The dinner was a bit slow to start, so by 10pm, we had to leave, ( our car was waiting) if we had more time , we would had enjoyed the coffee and desserts, but the waiter was very understanding, he gave us some chocolates and caneles to take home.

That indeed made all the wrongs fade away.!

Walrus Rest.

This birthday buns were so good, the filling were yam and lotus seeds. looks good, taste good too.
This was so much better than the ones we had in Qld in 2004!
Try the Walrus Rest. in Springvale. The food is good and prices are fair.

The lobster noodles were delicious, the serve was so big, we could'nt finish it.
