FOODSNOBS--sedap makan??

This was a trip up north to sunny Brisbane to celebrate my brother's 60th birthday. It was a real great reunion for our brothers and sisters. One came from Malaysia, 2 from Melbourne and 3 are in Qld.
We had dinner at the Chinese Garden Rest. Brisbane. Food was not too great, a bit too oily and salty, service was so so.
The birthday buns looked good but ohhh soooo hard!! was like a piece of rock!
We couldn't eat them!
we were given a refund but this spoilt the whole evening! how can a birthday dinner end with rock hard buns?!!
So foodsnobs, think before you try this rest. I'll give this a miss on my next trip!

FOODSNOBS

When we travel, we also eat at alot of different restautants, food malls, food stalls and places where food is sold.
What are FOODSNOBS?
someone who loves food? someone who hates food that is not cooked at home? someone looking for the perfect dish? someone finding fault with every little detail?
you can be the judge.

We went to have lunch at Tobby's new Fifteen. It is in Collins St. Melbourne. Had to book to get in, bookings for dinner was a month's wait, so we settled for lunch.
My son came from Singapore, so had to try it out.
Service was a bit slow, the place was packed. The ambience was cozy, there was pots of fresh herbs along a wall. A nice setup, you can see Tobby doing the entree.
The food was ok. quite big serves, prices were ok too.
I'm not a food critic so I'll not pass judgement, I can say I'll like to go one night for dinner.Tobby was nice, he allowed me to take his pic.
You have to go and try it out yourself.
