Trip to Vietnam--2

This is the Ben Thanh market, our hotel is just beside this market and we went in to look a couple of times. There are heaps of fresh fruits, clothings, handbags, food stalls you name it, you'll find it.

we spend so much time looking at clothings and handbags, we never had the time to try the food stalls!! what a shame! We did try the cheekoo, which was sweet and nice, the dragon fruit, rambutans, not nice, sour and not much meat.

Before leaving for Vietnam we had Malaysian durians at my brother's house.
D24 a very nice creamy and rich fruit, that is what durian is all about!


Arriving in Vietnam , about 9.30am we had to find a place for breakfast. what other meal than to have "pho" in Siagon!!
A bit disappointed, not one of the waitress or waiter could speak English!
we wanted hot water to add to our coffee , with all the signs and trying our best to say what we want, nothing turn out right, it took 1/2 hr. for some one to figure out what we wanted.
But, they still got our orders wrong!
The soup was not as good as the ones we have in Springvale! the beef was tough! and it was very expensive!
After the whole out come, we had a very good laugh, so much so we all had belly ache!! This shop was highly recommeded "Pho Hoa", but surely not by us!!
